Geneva-based Plair SA is the world’s first manufacturer and provider of instruments for real-time and automatic pollen monitoring. Our solutions revolutionize the ability to prevent hay fever and improve quality of life.


As hardware engineer you will be responsible for development, firmware programming and deployment of Plair’s particle analyzers. You will also be an essential contributor to the development of new solutions and applications requiring electronics design skills. You will take active part in the field tests of Plair’s instruments and their installation around the Globe. Occasional travel may be required.

Starting date



  • 5+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
  • Master degree in electronics or a related field (PhD in Electronics is a plus).
  • Expert knowledge and proven track record in projects based on Xilinx FPGAs and design tools (VIVADO, HLS, ISE, MicroBlaze).
  • Expert in high speed digital (PCIe, SATA, JESD204B) and analog PCB design (high speed ADCs).
  • Expert knowledge of VHDL and C/C++.
  • Expert knowledge of Linux OS and Python.
  • Advanced knowledge in PCB manufacturing process.
  • Experience in management of PCB supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Fuent in English and/or French.
  • Valid Swiss work permit.
