We're pleased to announce that Plair will take part in the EDQM Symposium "Microbiology on the Move", taking place 13–15 October 2026 at the EDQM in Strasbourg.
On Wednesday 14 October, we'll present Rapid-C+ in the Fire Session, "A snapshot of emerging microbiology testing: new tools, new solutions and new challenges."
Rapid-C+ is our advanced Biofluorescent Particle Counter (BFPC), validated as an alternative and rapid microbiological method. It counts viable and total particles in real time and includes traditional active air sampling for microbial identification, all in one instrument.
For environmental monitoring in aseptic manufacturing, this means:
Continuous, real-time detection of viable particles
Quicker responses to contamination events
More effective production time and less waste
The symposium brings together regulators, industry and international stakeholders to discuss the future of pharmaceutical microbiology. This year's topics include the revised Ph. Eur. chapter 5.1.6 on alternative microbiological methods and the practical adoption of rapid microbiological methods (RMMs). We're excited to join the conversation on how rapid methods can move from innovation to everyday practice.
